The Dallas World Aquarium is a complex of nature-themed attractions, including recreations of the South American Rainforest, the ecology in the southern tip of Africa, and the area of the Yucatan Gulf once occupied by the ancient Mayans. The aquarium itself boasts more than 85,000 gallons of saltwater containing marine life from around the world, including Spectacled Angelfish, Comb Wrasse, and Painted Goldies. It lies downtown, just north of Pioneer Park.
