Description:

Created in 1903, the Dallas Museum of Art features a permanent collection of more than 23,000 works of art, including rare pieces from Africa, Europe, Asia and the Pacific Islands. With a focus on world art, temporary exhibitions have featured such titles as "Splendors of China's Forbidden City," and "Before Impressionism: French 19th-Century." The museum occupies a lovely building with a fountain out front, in downtown, near the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

Open Tue. - Wed. 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Thurs. 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Fri. - Sun. 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Adults $10; Seniors (65+) $7; Students $5; Children under 12 are free.
