Description:

First created as a water reservoir for the city in the early 1900s, White Rock Lake Park is now popular for water recreation and outdoor activities. The 1,015-acre lake and surrounding parkland offers over nine miles of hiking and biking trails, fishing piers, bird watching areas and picnic areas. It is home to the renowned Corinthian Sailing Club and hosts many annual events, such as the White Rock Marathon. A few miles northeast of downtown Dallas, the park is just north of Tenison Memorial Park and south of Fair Oaks Park.
